September 30th Arugula Crop

I seeded the soil about 4 weeks or so before. Covered them much of the time as September was cold – temps as low as minus 8C. Harvested the Arugula on September 30th. Nice to see that is possible to grow something up here in September – especially when the temps were well below average.

Tomato Harvest Early September

I had to pull all the tomatoes earlier than I expected (first week of September). Some got hit with a bit of frost. Ended up leaving quite a few behind. Next year I think I’m going to chop the entire plant (Tiny Tims) and bring it inside instead of trying to pick them. This summer was cold and not that sunny. Harvest appeared pretty good but in the greenhouse many of the medium sized tomatoes were pretty small.
