Early September – Last Basil and Tomato Harvest

Decided to harvest basil as some was getting damaged with overnight temps dropping to just below +2C. Also I picked almost all of my tomatoes as it was supposed to get to minus 1 last night. Of course it only dropped to 4C and the next week looks not bad for low temps. This is typical Yellowknife early Sept weather. The forecast and the actual temps flirt with freezing but often don’t go below 2 or 3 degrees and then it warms up for another week or two. Still a gamble to roll the dice. Left the lettuce and root veg going.
